It’s not your job to know what’s wrong – it’s ours. And, if something has gone wrong, you shouldn’t be outside with a flashlight trying to kick-start the fan. Our 24-hour AC repair service is just a call away. If your air conditioning system has stopped working, it could be due to any number of reasons including:

• REFRIGERANT LEAK: Without refrigerant, the system will not cool properly or at all. Additionally, the refrigerant can be harmful to the environment and any leaked should be addressed immediately.
• FROZEN COIL: A frozen coil is generally caused by air flow problems. Changing out your filters and cleaning out your ductwork should help to prevent this (see our AC maintenance and tune-up services).
• DAMAGED FAN/FAN BLADES: This can be caused by any number of factors including weather, critters, falling objects, mechanical failures, etc… If your fan has stopped working or is making some odd sounds (i.e. buzzing, warbling), then you should contact us immediately.
• FAULTY ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS: Without a solid electrical connection, your air conditioning system cannot function properly. If the start capacitor has failed, the breakers have been flipped, the power is off, the wiring has been eaten through, you’ve got a problem.
• UNRELIABLE THERMOSTAT: When you tell your thermostat that you want the house to be 72 degrees, you expect it to be 72 degrees. But, unfortunately, thermostats do fail. When they do, you can tap on them, unplug them, hook them back up, throw them in frustration, but that’s not going to fix it. But, we can and we’ll do it no matter what time it is.
